Naval Component Commander, Port Blair Recruits driver and fireman.

Naval Component Commander, Andaman & Nicobar Command, Port Blair is inviting application for 95 posts of –Civilian Motor Driver, Fire Engine Driver and Fireman. Advt. No.01/2014. Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format along with testimonials. The engagement will be in Naval Units under HQ Andaman & Nicobar Command. Educational qualification requirement and other details in brief are given below —

1. Civilian Motor Driver (Ordinary Grade): 69 Nos.

Qualification: Matriculation pass or ITI and must possess a valid Heavy vehicle driving licence.
Age: 18 to 5yrs.

2. Fire Engine Driver: 5 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation pass or ITI and must have at least 03 years practical experience in driving HMVs and shall possess valid driving licencse. Candidates must meet the physical standards as per norms. (See the PDF file below for details).
Age: 21 to 30 years.

3. Fireman: 21 Nos.
Qualification: Matriculation pass or ITI and must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties. Candidates must meet the physical standards as per norms. (See the PDF file below for details).
Age: 18 to 25yrs.

Age relaxation: Age mentioned above will be counted as on last date of application. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination and Interview/Trade test. Written examination and Interview/ Trade test etc will be held at Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

How To Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format. The application can be neatly typed on plain paper as per the format.
The duly filled Application Form shall be enclosed with attested copies of testimonials in support of Age, Qualification, Caste, and Etc., and two unattested passport size photograph (stapled with the form) and one Self-addressed envelope (23×13 cms) with postage stamp of Rs.10/- affixed on it.
